Yoga
Morning time is the busiest time for most of us, so even if an hour-long yoga session may not be possible. 30 minutes of dedication to practice yoga in the morning can also prove to be extremely beneficial. A morning yoga practice is a great way to get energized for the day ahead. It’s a great way to wake up your body and mind.
Pranayama
Pranayama is a technique in which breathing is intentionally regulated. By applying pranayama techniques you will be able to utilize and strengthen the whole range of respiratory organs. “A regular pranayama practice can stimulate the parasympathetic system which will counter the over-stimulation our bodies go through during the Fight or Flight response”.
Healthy Food Habits
Just like every other health enthusiast, we would say the same thing about Breakfast.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
The most favorable time to have breakfast is around 7 AM, or within the first hour of waking up. 60% of our calories should be consumed with breakfast and it should be healthier and heavier. You can start the breakfast with fruit or vegetable juice. There is a misconception about eating fruits after your meals; however, fruits may not be digested and absorbed properly if eaten right after a meal. Eating fruits early morning could also help reduce the number of carbs consumed during breakfast.
Some breakfast suggestions: Breakfast that consists of complex carbs or healthy carbs is advisable. For example Idli, vegetable, vegetable dosa, red poha with vegetables etc.
